He was predeceased by: his parents, Pieter and Marie; and his siblings, Robbie and Carol. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Trish Gemmell (Jesse) and Stephen Barends (Arlene); his siblings, John (Bonnie), Gerda, Jane (Chuck), Marie and Ed (Lori); and his brother-in-law Gary (Sherry). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
