He is survived by: his children, Monica Oppenlaender (Matthias), David Lowel (Andrea), Gabriella Lyttle (Ken) and Robert Lowel (Sue); and his wife Magdalena. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.
