She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Gauthier and Sinai Gauthier; and her siblings, Jean, Emery, Colette and Charlie.

She is survived by: her husband Glen; her children, Teena Albanese (Frank), John, Nancy Beauregard (Marcel) and Karen Viveros (Julio); her grandchildren, Glen (Tonia), Nicole (Mark), Anthony (Stephanie), Levis, Kimberly (Justin), Christopher (Mayu) and Melissa (Joe); her great grandchildren, Yanick, Medrick, Hayden, Valentino, Andreas, Joseph and Jessa; her siblings, Denise (Brian), Ben (Sue), Rene (Eloise) and Mary (Frank); and her siblings-in-law, Velma (late Edward), Barbara (Chris) and Jim (Kathy).

Memorial donations in Gert's name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
