He was predeceased by: his spouse Kazuko Hartnett (Shitara); his parents, Audrey Hartnett and Joseph Hartnett; his sister Irma; his brother-in-law Fred Cavers; his brother Lloyd; and his sister-in-law Rose Hartnett.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Hartnett and Sgt. Tim Hartnett; and his grandchildren, Owen Hartnett and Marissa Hartnett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations, in memory of Arnold may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society or the Lions Eye Care Niagara.
