She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore "Ted" Carey and Roberta "Marie" Carey. She is survived by: her husband Bill MacPherson; her siblings, David Carey (Bonnie), Catherine MacMullin, Perry Carey (Maria), Paul Carey (Elaine), Alana Arp (John), Robert Theodore "Teddy", Mark Carey and Ardena Hawkins; her brother-in-law Lawrence MacMullin; her nephew Joseph "Joey" Martinovic; and her close friend Clifton Leblanc.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
