It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Mendes of Thornhill, Ontario, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Angelo Abisso. She is survived by: her husband Mario; her children, Joshua (Ashley) and Nadia; her siblings, Angela (Marian), Rita (Claudio), Leslie (Angelo), Jane and Daniel; and her mother Emma Abisso.

In honour of Laura's memory, the Mendes family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society (https://support.cancer.ca*1y7a01l*_gcl_au*NDY5Njc3NTMyLjE3MTU2NDY1MzI.) , Princess Margaret Foundation or North York General Foundation.
