She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Kopstick and Dorothy Kopstick. She is survived by: her sister Paula Kopstick Ames (Charles); and her nephew Colin.

“I was trying to get back in touch with "Fern Baby" as my dad used to call her, and instead found out just now that she passed away. Very saddened by this news. Fern was a great supporter of the arts, including my late parents Saul Field and Jean Townsend. She became a close family friend and was around to lend a helping hand to those in need...with delicious food, a compassionate ear, a big hug, engaging conversation, whatever the occassion called for. I loved her and am lucky she was a big part of my childhood. Colin Field”
