He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelma and Stanley Lawrence; his siblings, Onley and Stanley; his spouse Donelda Dorothy MacKay; his stepchildren, Susan DesRoches (Tim) and Jim Jr. (Sherri); his children, Maddison and Tristan; his brother Terry Lawrence (Karen); his sister-in-law Sharon MacKay Brisson (late Gorman); and his nieces and nephews, Scott Lawrence (Jennifer), Matthew Lawrence, Stacey Lewis (Dave) and Kimberly Rickertsen (Mike).
