He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara (Turpin); his parents, Art Nichols and Elizabeth Nichols (Lynott); his sister Margaret Ramsay (late Russ); his grandsons, William and James Mills; his great grandchild Owen Mills; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Turpin (Sandra) and Yvonne Smith (Danny).

He is survived by: his children, Frank, Cathy, Paula of Sault Ste, Marie, Beth Mills (Enzo) of Thessalon and Laura Cresswell (Bob) of Kincardine; his grandchildren, Frank, Jeff Nichols, Christine Russell Janis (Ted), Stephanie Russell (Nick), Kevin Mills (Tiana), Marabeth Mills (Jamie), Keith Mills (Stacy), Trevor Cresswell (Amy), Amy Cresswell (Bill), Dawes, Hannah Janis, Alec, Mack Mills, Molly and Claire Cresswell; his siblings, Art Nichols (late Jean), Mary Pickard (Wayne) of Batchewana, Jerry Nichols (Edith) of Sault Ste and Marie; his sister-in-law Betty Gjos (late Stan); and his niece Karen McAndrew (Kevin).
