He was predeceased by: his parent Edith Vernon (Randall); his siblings, Inez Laird (Jack), Hazel Grogan (Dave), Bernice Tweddle (Harvey), Ken (Helen) and Harold; and also Fay Fox (Bob).

He is survived by: his parent James Vernon; and his nieces and nephews, Gary Tweddle (Margret), Ron Tweddle (Bev), Jack Tweddle (Carol), Brian Sylvia, Veronica Vandenbrink (Albert), Garth Vernon (Cheryll), Barry Grogan (Sharron) and Carol McLean (Glen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
