He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Holmes and Edna Holmes (Lyons); and his siblings, Doris Scratch (late Doug), Don Holmes, Lloyd Holmes (late Marion), Norma Hooper (late Jack), Harold "Pat" Holmes (late Joanne), Elda Myers (Irwin) and Erwin Holmes (late Irene).
He is survived by: his wife Norma Holmes (Bloom); his sons, Brad Holmes (Susan) of Thamesville and Jeff Holmes (Nancy) of Windsor; his grandchildren, Meghan (Livio), Courtney (Chris), Lauren (Kurt), Matthew (Emily), Carly and Katie; and his great grandchild Arturo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, cremation has taken place a private family interment will take place at the Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Thamesville Fireman's Association or the Thamesville United Church would be appreciated.
