George Douglas McGuire Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2024, George Douglas McGuire (Thamesville, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. McGuire and Barbara McGuire (Zavitz); his wife Laura "Leone" (Thompson); his former wife Joan (Burgess); his siblings, Bill, Vivian, Helen, Hazel, Bruce and Elaine; his sons-in-law, Wayne Jackson and Doug Layton; and his grandson Kristopher Bennewies.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne, Debby (Dale), Mary Lou, Terry (Alice) and Rob (Vicky); his siblings, Doris Shaw, Don McGuire and Larry McGuire; and his siblings-in-law, John Ito and Pat Lawson (Thompson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the John C. Badder Funeral Home (72 Victoria St, Thamesville, ON N0P2K0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
