He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Merrill and Mildred Merrill (Curd) of Ingersoll, Ontario.. He is survived by: his close friend Ruth Merrill (Penner); his children, Monica Lyn (Colette Carter), Timothy John (Melissa Dearing) and Mitchell; his grandchildren, Natasha, Nathan, Charlie, Maggie and Emi; and his sister Gerri (late Rein Otti). He is also survived by many in-laws and nieces and nephews.
