Geert Witteveen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geert Witteveen (Thamesford, Ontario), who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Jacqueline Witteveen; his grandchild Darien Hettinga; and his sister Hennie Vanderlaan (Jos). He is survived by: his wife Janna C. Witteveen; his children, Bert Witteveen (Maribeth) and Josie Witteveen (Ron Gulka); his grandchildren, Jacqueline Hunt (Matt), Jeremy Witteveen (Lauren), Janna Purdy (Tyler), Jon Witteveen (Eliesha) and Rayne Hettinga (Kylie); and his sibling Theadora (John). He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Due to Covid-19 concerns a Memorial Service will be held for Geert at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Alexandra Hospital Foundation in Ingersoll or the Salvation Army Food Bank and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004) .
