She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Laura; and her siblings, Shirley, Theresa, Robert and Noela.

She is survived by: her husband Maurice Brassard; her children, Jean-Pierre (Karen Brassard), Ernest (Darlene Brassard), Joel Brassard, Denis (Brenda Brassard), Jean-Charles (Tanya Brassard), Julianne (Gerald Stroud), Roger Brassard, Daniel (Karen Brassard) and Lucien Brassard; her grandchildren, Kristie, Brittany, Alexandra, Raven, Thomas, Catherine, Bejamin, Evan, Sarah, Leighanne, Geoffrey and Brendan; her great grandchild Mina; and her siblings, Ernie and Rita. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Mrs Brassard's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to Community Cancer Care.
