He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Fitzgerald and Leona Fitzgerald; his brothers, Bob and Jim Fitzgerald; his uncle Donald Fitzgerald; his aunts, Anne Fitzgerald, Barb Thompson and Muriel Steep; and his sister-in-law Janet Fuller.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Fitzgerald; his child Jamie Fitzgerald-Wright (Colan); his grandson Austin; his siblings, Alfred Fitzgerald of Calgary, Sandy (Bev Fitzgerald), Ken (Tina Fitzgerald) and Paul (Cindy Steep); his uncles, Don Thompson of Saskatchewan and Stan Fry (Barb) of Alberta; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Fuller (Crystal) of Alberta, Gary Fuller of St. Marys, Sandy Rouse of Alberta and Jen LaRose of Wingham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Huron Hospice, Diabetes Canada or Pet Rescue would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
