She was predeceased by: her spouse Robert; and her parent Thomas of Nova Scotia. She is survived by: her children, Karen Darlene Smily (Jeff), Bernie Martin and Lorelei Partridge (Kevin); her parent Margaret of Nova Scotia; and her grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Daniele, Josh, Angela, Katelyn and Sophia. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
