He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Kalbol (Nee Dowdell); his daughter Katherine Girard Mark Kalbol Jr; his parents, Mary (Nee Kosa) and John Sr.; his siblings, Theresa Kalbol and John; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Clarke (Ted) and Lynn Croft.

He is survived by: his children, Deb, Karen Waddell, Kristine Vorshuk, Kelly and Scott Matis; his grandchildren, Jerry Girard, Kari, Joseph Pottie, Michael, Samantha Waddell, Brett, Neil Vorshuk, Ryley and Mackenzey Matis; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Cooper, Oliver and Liam; his siblings, Leonard, Sheila Kalbol and Mary-Ann; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Tellier (Fred) and Linda Newman (Gerry). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
