He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth Sherwell "Chris"; his children, Tom Sherwell and Jane Westra; his children-in-law, Sharron and Jim; his grandchildren, Elisse Russel, Jennifer Dufour, Kelly Vlasschaert and Celeste Westra; his grandchildren-in-law, Chris, Matt, Richard and Scott; and his great grandchildren, Addalyn, Aubry Russel, Emma, Evan, Emmett Dufour, Faith, Kaylee, Lucas and Griffin Vlasschaert.
His favorites in the pre-covid years were the Board of Directors of Windsor Grove, Riverside Sportsman Club and the Tecumseh Area Historical Society.
