He was predeceased by: his son Tommy; and his parents, Omar Kendrick and Reta Kendrick (Botting). He is survived by: his wife Connie (Sands); his children, Rob (Cindy) and Wendy (Al); his grandchildren, Cody (Kate), Kris (Becca), Casey Murray, Nicole (Dylan) and Erica Kendrick; and his sisters, Lois Irwin (late Bill) and Debbie Dupuis (Richard). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
