He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiske and Klaas; his parents-in-law, Stan and Annie Keeler; his sister Jane; and his sister-in-law Ruby.

He is survived by: his close friends, Keith (Megan) and Kirk (Evangeline); his brothers, Gary (Trudy) and Cameron; his grandchildren, Holden, Paige, Grayson, Kaiden and Mya; and his nieces, Breanne and Carly.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario.
