She was predeceased by: her husband Philip Mitchell; her son-in-law Mike Hartley; her granddaughter Maranda Mitchell; her brother Roger Young; and her parents, Norman Young and Helen Young.

She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Hartley and Randy Mitchell (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell (Jesse), Damian Mitchell (Tonia) and Austin Hartley (Rhea); her great grandchildren, Tessa, Jackson and Jacob; and her siblings, Evelyn Bethune (Rick), Kenneth Young (Yvonne) and David Young Sara (Susan).
