She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Schmidt; and her sister Elisebeth. She is survived by: her children, Rick Schmidt, Michele Noon (Steve), Robert Schmidt (Kristy), Edward Schmidt and Lise Henderson (Cale); her grandchildren, Richard, Shannon, Charles, Thora and Gavin; her great grandchildren, Tanner, Rhylie, Sophie and Brody; her brother John Garner (Pat); and her child Aid. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

If desired, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Algonquin Grace Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
