He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Barnes and Elsie Mary Barnes (Dean). He is survived by: his spouse Jessie Lorraine Barnes; his son Doug Barnes (Sharon) of Sunderland; and his grandchildren, Daniel (Virginia), Karlene (John), Michelle (Reg), Krista (Wes) and Ryan (Ange).
