She was predeceased by: her parents, Jovide Deschamps and Julie Deschamps; her spouse Adelard Bruyère; her daughter Paulette; her adoptive son Marcel Bruyère (Sally); and her siblings, Liliane, Adrien (late Jeannine), Irène, Aurèle (Lucille), Lou (late Pearl), Fernand (late Jeannine), Roger (late Shirley) and Émile (late Béatrice).

She is survived by: her granddaughter Genevieve. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
