She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene; her parents, Margaret Waters and John Stevens; her sister Jean; and her nephew Wendell Waters.

She is survived by: her son Wendell Wirta; and her grandchildren, Tanya Wirta, Alana Dauphinee, Mackenzie Sauer, Nathaniel Porfoun and Philip Gladu. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many other siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
