He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Berg and Mildred Geisinger; his wife Gloria Berg; and his siblings, Jim (Peg), Albert (Mary), Edward "Ted" and Patricia (Bob).

He is survived by: his children, John "Scott" (Elaine) and Catherine; his grandchildren, Serena (Steven) and Andrew; his great grandchild Emma; and his sister-in-law Shirley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
