He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Mary Ashton; his sons, Brian (Angela) and Daniel; his grandchildren, Owen, Charlotte and Jack; his parents, Theophilus Ashton and Dorothy Ashton; and his sister Christine Schofield (Mike).
