With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Hartley (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 14, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Hartley and Lawrence Hartley; his stepfather Lawrence Chandler; his brother Kenny; and his sister-in-law Betty.

He is survived by: his grandson Warren; his children-in-law, Michele and Karen; his wife Wendy; his sons, Donald (Michele), Rodney (Cindy) and Warren (Karen); his grandchildren, Rachel, Ben, Aaron, Caleb, Joseph, Trevis, Colby, Jordan, Lucas and Lily; his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Jorah, Kaden and Mia; and his siblings, Danny (Donna), Janet (Donald), Doris (Joe) and Cindy (Brian).
