The passing of Kevin Shanahan (Sudbury, Ontario) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 80. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kevin leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Kevin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen "Vane" Shanahan; his children, Doug Shanahan (Sherry) and Tammy Shanahan Richer; and his grandchildren, John, Crystal (Robert), Cordell, Caitlin, Shaelyn and Riley. He was also cherished by many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lougheed Funeral Home (4605 Michelle Dr, Hanmer, ON P3P1L6). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to take a moment to check in on someone you care about, just as Kevin would have wanted. Donations in his memory may be made to the Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre.
