It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Gareau (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Cobalt, Ontario, who passed away on July 22, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Gareau and Josephine Gareau; and her siblings, Reginald Gareau, Joanne O'Neill, Inez Philion and Suzanne Bilodeau.

She is survived by: her children, Caroline Grist of Sudbury, David Cormier (Bonnie Moustado) of Timmins, Kenneth Grist (Cathy Onotski) of Oxbow, James Grist (Amy Mousseau) of Sudbury and Fern Cormier (Glen Demone) of Sudbury; and her sisters, Claudette McMillan (Gord) of Halifax and Genevieve Mikkola (Jack) of Elliot Lake. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation – Cancer Centre or Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
