He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Spencer and Rose Spencer; and his sisters, Gloria Villeneuve (Leo), Viola Johnston (Harold), Betty Pilon (Gerry), Vivian Martin (Don), Pauline and Helen Paradis (Darwin).

He is survived by: his sister Florence Cuddy (late Larry); his wife Gail; his children, Todd Spencer (Sandi Adamson) and Tanya Spencer Cameron (John Cameron); and his grandchildren, Gilbert "Liam" Spencer (Jena) and Kyle Spencer (Christine). He is also survived by brothers & sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews.
