He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyst and Anne; and his aunt Rita. He is survived by: his wife Janet Carscallen; his children, Ellen Balfe (Andrew) and John Carscallen; his grandchildren, Fintan, Myra, Amelia and Nora; his aunts, Catherine, Teresa, Helen and Joan; and his sisters-in-law, Adele and Veronica.
