She was predeceased by: her parents, Ovila Lavigne and Marie-Anne Lavigne (late Pete McDonald); her husband Arthur Gauthier; her son Luc Malette; and her siblings, Georgette Champagne (late Pierre), Florian Lavigne (Suzette), Laurette Pretty (William), Rheal Lavigne (late Lorraine), Francoise Diefenbeck (late Phillip) and Anonciale Rivet (late Lionel).
She is survived by: her children, Michele and Carmel; her grandchildren, Mathieu, Josee and Lyne; and her sisters, Nicole Janson (Andre) and Diane Shank (Michel).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGuinty Funeral Home -Sturgeon (123 Railway St, Sturgeon Falls, ON P2B3B1). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at 144 Main St, Sturgeon Falls, ON P2B1N7.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
