He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Evelyn Wardell; his parents, Borden Wardell and Mary Wardell; and his sister Marion Heckman. He is survived by: his girlfriend Thelma Bloomfield; his children, Bill Wardell (Barb), Brenda Viaene (Gene) and Brian Wardell; his grandchildren, Melanie Anderson (Adam), Ryan Wardell (Lisa), Alecia Ironside (Nick), Holly Davey (Mark) and Chantelle Reavely; his great grandchildren, Ara, Sloane, Zack, Sawyer, Lucy, Norah and Benjamin; his sister Pat Richardson; and his stepchildren, Laurie (Rodger), Linda Coppens, Ruth Roger and Michelle Bloomfield (late Bill Bloomfield). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
