He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Barrie and Evelyn Barrie; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Joy Holloway. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Barrie; his sons, Garrett and Justin Barrie; his siblings, Angelia Johnson (Jack), Debbie Davenport (Alexander), Brendia Pierce (Rudy), Terry Barrie (Shannon) and Carolyn Martin (Stacy); and his siblings-in-law, Janet Rubini (John), Mike Holloway (Sherry), Lynda Armstrong (Kevin), Diane Cleator (Tom) and Cheryl Ferraro (Nick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

As an expression of sympathy donations to the LHSC-Children's Hospital or to the SickKids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
