He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Vandermeer and Jantje Vandermeer (Zwart). He is survived by: his wife Cindy Lou Skater; his child Taylor Vandermeer; his siblings, Diane Noordhof (Henry), Teresa Kootstra (Raymond), Linda Atkinson (Ken) and Henry Vandermeer (Sarah); his mother-in-law Donna Skater (Terry); and his sisters-in-law, TerryLyn Skater (John Sherriff) and Ginger Skater (Terry Timlatt).
