She is survived by: her son Mario Jr. Tavares; her siblings, Oliver Furtado (Christine), Susan VanBakel (Dan) and Sandra Vasquez (Noel); and her nieces, Jessica VanBakel (Scott), Vanessa Vasquez (Keifer) and Amariah Furtado.
