Rika Vandertil Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2021, at the age of 91, Rika Vandertil of Strathroy, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Vander Til; her parents, Gerrit Klingenberg and Christina Klingenberg; and her siblings, Berend, Mans, Gezinus, Jan Harm, Gerrit, Grietje Koopman, Christine Noordstra and Seasons Strathroy.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Faber (Albert), Ben Schrik (Marian) and Ann Miedema (Leo); her stepchild Vander Til; her siblings, Fenny Zwygers (John), Jane Damsma and Harry; and her sisters-in-law, Trientje and Alie.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a service on Monday July 26th at 2pm at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac Crescent, Woodstock, ON. (Due to COVID, space is limited, and guests are required to RSVP in advance on the funeral home website).

If desired, memorial contributions to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Palliative Care Unit or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the Brock Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue in Woodstock (519-539-0004).
