She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Mathew Aerts; her parents, Martinus Janssen and Hendrina Janssen-Poels; her stepparents, Toon Lichteveld and Wilhelmina Lichteveld-Janssen; and her siblings, Toon, Gerrit, Harrie, Stien Janssen, Thei, Truu and Stien Lichteveld.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa (Vaughn), Hugh, Anthony (Elaine) and Mathew (Patricia); her grandchildren, Megan (Tristan), Chelsea (Michael), Joshua (Rachel), Evan, Colin, Graeme, Cameron, Elisabeth, Adrian and Owen; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Madelyn, Addison and Bella; and her sisters-in-law, Riek Janssen and Lies Fleuren.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or a charity of choice.
