She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Azevedo; her parents, Maria Jose Armas and Jose Antonio Nunes; and her brothers, Jose Nunes (Germana), Luis Nunes (Lucy) and Antonio Nunes (Maria).

She is survived by: her daughter Marlene; her son-in-law Al Melo; her son Alvin (Liesa); her grandchildren, Kali, Kolbi and Shelbi; and her sisters-in-law, Almerinda Goncalves (Jose), Conçeicao Sousa (Jose Antonio) and Lourdes Azevedo (Francisco). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As an expression of sympathy donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
