She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Raposo and Cesaltina Arruda; and her brothers, Eugenio Raposo and Aniceto Raposo. She is survived by: her husband Don Carreiro; her children, Cristina Carreiro and Mark Carreiro (Chantell); and her caregivers, Phil Daniels, Ryan and Mombo. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In memory of Maria, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital or to ParaMed Home and Community Support Services.
