He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his son Doug Whiting; and his parents, Ralph Whiting and Mary Whiting. He is survived by: his children, Dave, Brian Whiting (Karin) and Deb Albrechtas (Don); his grandchildren, Jessica Whiting (Anthony Snook), April Whiting (Matt Davies) and Josh Albrechtas (Katherine); his great grandchildren, Makenzie, Bailey, Owen and Parker; his close friend Margaret "Marnie" Barney; and also, Lois and Brenda.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial contributions be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
