She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Gordon McLachlin; her siblings, Kingsley Shaw, Faye Rosina, Shirley Goldie, Jim Shaw (late Lynn) and Ken Shaw (late Sue); and her brother-in-law John McLachlin.

She is survived by: her sons, Christopher and Scott (Michelle); her grandchildren, Eloise and Daxton; her siblings, Percy Shaw (Joan) and Betty Shaw; and her sister-in-law Marie McLean (late Alex).
