John Hoekstra Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hoekstra (Strathroy, Ontario), who passed away on April 12, 2022. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Hoekstra to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Harmke Hoekstra; his siblings, Anne, Jenny and Robert Hoekstra; and his parents, Jacob Hoekstra and Johanna Hoekstra.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie Buttrill (Matt), John (Kimberley) and Ian Hoekstra (Kelly); his grandchildren, Melissa, Joshua, Meghan, Tiffany Buttrill, Levi, Danielle, Jesse, Jade, Cameron and Abigail Hoekstra; his great grandchildren, Conner, Brooklyn, Mia, Peyton, Bennett, Madison, Sullivan and Sable; his sister Audrey; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Hoekstra, Jacob, Pauline and Frank Beute (Metty); and his pets, John, Whisk and Duke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lewy Body Dementia research or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
