He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Brown and Audrey Durrant. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Karen Laur (Steve), Christopher (Angela), Elizabeth Fitch (Brandon), Katherine Schmidt (Stephen) and David Brown; his grandchildren, Jessica, Josh, Julia, Alyssa, Tori, Matthew, Noah, Samara, Gracie and Zeke; his sister Kathryn Toole (Giff); his brother-in-law Gary Vance; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Shawn, Andrew and Shelly.
