She was predeceased by: her father Howard Meadows; her siblings, John Meadows (Donnalee) and June Butchart (Dave); and her son James Howard Stephenson. She is survived by: her husband Carl Kersey; her sisters, Joyce Runnalls (Ian) and Janet Richards (George); her children, John Stephenson (Val), Janice Salandziak (Walt), Judy Gratton (Norm), Joe Stephenson (Heather), Jeff Stephenson, Lisa Snelgrove and Melody Kepke (Patrick); and her grandchildren, Toni, Rob, Ryan, Amy, Cody, Steven, Shawn, Stacey, Mason, Kaitlyn, Iseabaila, Liam, Tiffany, Karrielynn and Jessica. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers we ask that friends and family wishing to honour Joan are invited to donate in her name to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or donation of choice.
