She is survived by: her husband Ralph Ballast; her grandchildren, Clara (Paul), Buma, Vivian (John), Vanderhoek, Sylvia (Martin), Steenstra and John (Rosanne); her great grandchildren, Logan, Connor, Cadence, Maliyah, Adira, Brooke, Judah, Wolf, Maple, Cody, Morgan, Malcolm, Gideon, Jasper, Cordelia, Edward, Rylan, Ember, Chloe and Hudson; and her brother-in-law Nico.
