He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert "Bob" Jr. (Gloria) and Stan (Marcia); his parents, Robert "Bob" and Elizabeth (Kelley); and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" and Nola Veitch.

He is survived by: his wife Lois (Veitch); his children, Kevin, Lory of Paris, ON and Melissa of New York City; his grandchild Paige; and his siblings-in-law, Norman, Trudy Veitch, Paul Veitch, Lyle, Christine Veitch and Bernice McGregor (late Albert). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association (rett.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
