It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hubertus Wilhelmus Cornelis Vandervelden (Strathroy, Ontario), who passed away on August 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Annie (late Urb); his parents, John Vandervelden and Catherine Vandervelden; and his parents-in-law, Basil and Helen Romphf.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Vandervelden; his children, Gayle Coleman (Bev), Mike Vander Velden (Rosemary Brown), Cathy-Lynne Miller, Steve Vander Velden (Fran), Sheri Kenny and Shawn Neil (Tracey); his grandchildren, Brent (Meg), Ashley (Dana), Kelly (Curt), Alex (Khadijah), Brandon, Abby, Sabrina, Keisha (Taylor), Wesley, Briella, Andrew, Rosie, Kayla, Taya, Leah and Thomas; his siblings, Mary (late Leo), John (Nellie), Bill (Tina), Martin (Lex) and Hank (Diane); and his brother-in-law Don Romphf (Sue). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or All Saints Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
